If you need to reselect your checkpoint in We Were Here Together, e.g., due to a bug or after a major update, this article explains how you can start a new save file and select your last checkpoint to resume your progress.
Progress in our games is automatically saved. Most of the puzzles have a checkpoint after completing the entire puzzle and entering the next room. Sometimes it might look like you lost your progress. In that case, your host often needs to follow these steps to reselect the checkpoint.
If the checkpoints are unclickable, it often means the wrong person is hosting and you need to swap hosts. If you somehow lost your progress, we are very sorry. This might have happened when closing the game incorrectly or losing power/internet while being in the middle of a puzzle.
You could try to let the host of your game manually select a checkpoint by navigating to the main menu and selecting "change" under your journey > "Start New Journey" > Select your checkpoint.
Re-select your checkpoint in the main menu
To manually select your checkpoint, let the host of your game navigate to your journey and click on "Change":
Then select "Start new journey":

You should now see the selected checkpoint in your journey and can continue playing:
