If you're experiencing issues with cross-platform gameplay for We Were Here Together on Nintendo Switch, please double-check the following:
- Keep in mind that it could be that nobody is hosting an open lobby at the time you're searching. You can always look for a partner in our Discord server or wait for the busier hours (usually in the evenings or weekends) to have more chances of finding a partner.
- If you have trouble joining someone's room, try to directly invite the other player from your friend list instead of manually searching for the room.
- If playing on PC, make sure your Firewall or Windows Defender is not blocking the game or that your console has all relevant multiplayer settings enabled and an online subscription to be able to play with others online.
- Different network speeds could cause delays or a desync between players, especially when a PC-player plays with a console-player. We recommend a fast and stable network connection, preferably over cable.
- Console players could go to their console's network settings and change their DNS settings to improve their connection. Choose Manual and enter 1.1.1.1 as your Primary DNS and 1.0.0.1 as your Secondary DNS which is CloudFlare's DNS. IF this doesn't increase your speed, you can also try to enter Google's DNS which is: 8.8.8.8 for Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the Secondary DNS.
- Console players should also make sure that they have an active subscription to be able to play online with other players and that their console settings allow for multiplayer gaming.
- PC players can check if their Firewall / Windows Defender is blocking certain game files and make an exemption for our game.
